DISPLAY GARDEN
From the first meeting of the Cape Cod Hydrangea Society inMay of 2007 we envisioned the creation of a hydrangea display garden here on Cape Cod, both as a resource for our members for learning and appreciation, and for the education and delight of visitors.

By a happy coincidence, Heritage Museums and Gardens publicized its intention to create a hydrangea display garden at its location in Sandwich, Massachusetts at around the same time our hydrangea society was just getting started. It didn’t take long to arrange a cheerful partnership. We are indebted to Heritage Gardens for providing us space in their already beautiful setting for a collection of hydrangeas. Our first hydrangeas were planted in spring, 2008, with plans to add to the collection on a regular basis.

Heritage Gardens is known for its collection of rhododendrons, with thousands of plants on display. Visitors are also treated to collections of daylilies, hostas, heather, and holly. For more information go to www.heritagemuseumsandgardens.org.
